delivery

All jewellery is lovingly handmade to order. For fingerprint jewellery, please allow 14-21 working days for delivery of your item. In this time, I will need to post a fingerprint kit to you for you to complete as well as awaiting the return of the impressions before I can begin making your jewellery.  More information on the process of the fingerprint jewellery can be found here.

For jewellery in my nature-inspired or coastal collection that are in stock, I aim to have these with you in 7-10 working days. During busier periods of the year, such as Christmas and Mother's Day, there may be a slightly longer wait due to the volume of orders however the website will be updated at these times with information before you place an order and you will be kept informed after too via email.

returns

I hope that you absolutely adore your piece of handmade, one-off jewellery, just as much as I enjoy making it.  If for any reason you are unhappy with your item, please contact me and I will do my best to resolve this for you.

If you have changed your mind on one of the nature-inspired collection pieces, then you are able to return the jewellery to me within 7 days in its original packaging, providing it has been unworn and is still in immaculate condition with no sign of damage.

If the jewellery is broken on its arrival to you - perhaps during transit - then I will fix this for you free of charge, however I do ask that you pay the postage (recommended Royal Mail Special Delivery) to return it to me.

Fingerprint jewellery can not be returned quite simply because it is tailored and personalised to each customer during the ordering process and can't be resold to anyone else. The only exception is if the fingerprint jewellery arrives damaged to you.  Please contact me first before you return to me so I can give you a return address then I will fix the jewellery free of charge (postage costs to return jewellery to me will not be covered). Any damages that occur due to incorrect storage or maintenance of your jewellery unfortunately cannot be returned for a full refund, but I would be happy to repair this for you at an additional cost.

Fingerprint impressions from babies and young children may appear faintly, and also bear in mind the type of finish you specify at the time of ordering. A non-oxidised print will be more subtle and only show higher contrast when the light catches it; a slightly oxidised print will give some definition on the lines, and a heavily oxidised print will give the darkest print and most likely the strongest definition.

To give customers an idea on the differences in definition on prints, the fingerprint jewellery listed on my website features a range of prints, from babies, to toddlers, to older children as well as adults.  All fingerprints are unique, just as each person is, so please remember that just because your child is at a similar age to another child's print you have seen, it doesn't necessarily mean that your child's print will be identical in depth and definition.  Even though the initial fingerprint taken in the silicone mould can look very clear, a mould is then taken from that to effectively make a 'fingertip' which I imprint it to the silver clay, and this is then easier to see the depth and clarity of the fingerprint lines. Below are some examples of different fingerprint heart necklaces I've made, displaying an array of age groups and therefore definition.

I am unable to accept returns on the basis of the customer being unhappy with the level of definition in the print as I use 'true' fingerprint impressions, meaning whatever print is supplied to me will be directly replicated in to the fine silver.
