fingerprint jewellery process
Every item of fingerprint jewellery is completely unique, with each piece created using the individual prints you provide.

CHOOSE YOUR DESIGN

You can view my Designs using the above menu. Then simply have a browse through the different collections and once you have chosen your favourite, add to the cart and you'll be guided through the secure checkout. PayPal and all major credit and debit cards are accepted. For fingerprint jewellery, you can add customisation options at the checkout, and a personalisation option form will also be posted to you with your fingerprint impression kit so I can be sure of text and details you want on your jewellery. If you have any questions, please get in touch and I will be happy to help.

TAKING FINGERPRINTS

Once you have placed your order, your fingerprint impression kit will be posted to you which will include a blue and while moulding putty for you to take the prints. You can view the 'taking fingerprints' video below which may be of help. Underneath are some written step by step instructions also.

Please note: the moulding putty will start to dry very quickly, so it's best to have everything ready before you start.

-
Make sure your hands are clean and dry, and nails are trimmed.
-
Take 1 ball of blue putty and 1 ball of white putty and mix or knead together between your fingers until it is completely streak free.
-
Now roll into a ball and place on to a hard, flat surface.
-
Using the forefinger, place the finger gently into the putty and hold there for 5 seconds before slowly lifting away.
-
Leave the putty to harden fully before popping it back to the plastic storage pot.
-
If taking more than one person's fingerprints, now move on to the remaining blue and white putty balls supplied in your kit.
-
Label the person's name on the sticker on the pot.
-
Either return to me via post or drop through my letterbox if local (my address is supplied in your fingerprint kit)
-
If you have any problems taking the prints, get in touch and I'd be happy to help!
ONCE I RECEIVE YOUR PRINTS

You'll get an email to confirm that all is okay once we have received your prints. You can then leave the rest to me to begin making your jewellery! All fingerprint jewellery is made to order, therefore creation time may vary from piece to piece depending on design, number of fingerprints and other customisations you may have chosen.

DELIVERY

You'll be updated by email when your jewellery is ready to be dispatched to you. I recommend choosing the Royal Mail Special Delivery postage option (compensation for loss or damage of your package up to £500) which requires a signature upon receipt. However, on ordering you are given the choice between Special Delivery, Royal Mail 1st Class, or free collection in person.
If you aren't home when it arrives, no worries! Royal Mail will keep your parcel with them safely and will leave a card explaining how you can easily rearrange delivery online.
