Pricing and Payment

All of the prices listed on the website and are in pound sterling (£) and payment for all orders are made in pound sterling (£). The prices listed on each product excludes delivery charges. All items remain the property of olive&stone until payment has been received in full. Although all efforts are made to ensure the prices listed are accurate, sometimes errors may occur. If you have already placed your order, I will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the error.  If the price was listed higher than it should have been, I will refund you the difference. If the price is listed lower, I will give the option to pay the additional cost, otherwise in these circumstances you will be able to cancel your order and be given a full refund.

I make each piece of jewellery to order with the exception of some of the nature-inspired pieces where there may be some made in advance and in stock, therefore delivery times may vary. My delivery time scale is normally between 7-10 working days (Monday-Friday) from ordering.  For fingerprint jewellery, please allow 14-21 working days (Monday-Friday) from ordering to allow for extra time to receive, use, and return the fingerprint kit.

Please be aware that during busy periods ( such as Christmas and Mother's day), the usual 7-10 working day delivery times stated may be extended to 14 working days. If this is expected, I will have this information visible on the website as well as notifying you via email upon ordering. If you require your jewellery by a specific date (e.g. an anniversary, wedding, birthday), please contact me as soon as you can once you have placed your order, especially during those busier times of the year.  Without that email discussion, we cannot accept liability if your goods do not arrive within the delivery time expected.

If you have any questions about your delivery please contact me by email at

I recommend selecting jewellery Royal Mail Special Delivery when choosing your delivery method:

Royal Mail Special Delivery (insured) – £6.70

  • Full tracking

  • Compensation for loss or damage of your package up to £500

  • Guaranteed next day delivery before 1pm (excluding weekends)

  • Signature on delivery

If you prefer, there is a drop down option to select the slightly cheaper option of Royal Mail 1st class delivery, however this is not a tracked or insured service so cannot

I hope that you absolutely adore your piece of handmade, one-off jewellery, just as much as I enjoy making it.  If for any reason you are unhappy with your item, please contact me and I will do my best to resolve this for you.

If you have changed your mind on one of the nature-inspired collection pieces, then you are able to return the jewellery to me within 7 days in its original packaging, providing it has been unworn and is still in immaculate condition with no sign of damage.

If the jewellery is broken on its arrival to you - perhaps during transit - then I will fix this for you free of charge, however I do ask that you pay the postage (recommended Royal Mail Special Delivery) to return it to me.

Fingerprint jewellery can not be returned quite simply because it is tailored and personalised to each customer during the ordering process and can't be resold to anyone else. The only exception is if the fingerprint jewellery arrives damaged to you.  Please contact me first before you return to me so I can give you a return address then I will fix the jewellery free of charge (postage costs to return jewellery to me will not be covered). Any damages that occur due to incorrect storage or maintenance of your jewellery unfortunately cannot be returned for a full refund, but I would be happy to repair this for you at an additional cost.

Fingerprint impressions from babies and young children may appear faintly, and also bear in mind the type of finish you specify at the time of ordering. A non-oxidised print will be more subtle and only show higher contrast when the light catches it; a slightly oxidised print will give some definition on the lines, and a heavily oxidised print will give the darkest print and most likely the strongest definition.

To give customers an idea on the differences in definition on prints, the fingerprint jewellery listed on my website features a range of prints, from babies, to toddlers, to older children as well as adults.  All fingerprints are unique, just as each person is, so please remember that just because your child is at a similar age to another child's print you have seen, it doesn't necessarily mean that your child's print will be identical in depth and definition.  Even though the initial fingerprint taken in the silicone mould can look very clear, a mould is then taken from that to effectively make a 'fingertip' which I imprint it to the silver clay, and this is then easier to see the depth and clarity of the fingerprint lines. Below are some examples of different fingerprint heart necklaces I've made, displaying an array of age groups and therefore definition.

I am unable to accept returns on the basis of the customer being unhappy with the level of definition in the print as I use 'true' fingerprint impressions, meaning whatever print is supplied to me will be directly replicated in to the fine silver.

Please email me before deciding to return an item as I may be able to answer any questions you may have, and if needed, I can provide you with the return address to post your item to.
